Web Video University and Club WVU – One Year Later
Well it’s been over a year since I completed Dave Kaminski’s Web Video University and I have a few things that I’d like to share with you about the experience, the knowledge that I have gained, some things I wasn’t expecting and what’s happened to me since acquiring this knowledge.
My original post that I wrote after finishing the course is here, if you care to read it. Try not to laugh at the original video!
Anyway, it’s fair to say that I’ve wasted too much…in fact WAY too much money on things in life that have not lived up to their stated promise. This is even more true when it comes to internet marketing products and programs. Today I can spot recycled or useless marketing content more easily.
Anyway – I finished the course and immediately promoted my new skills with two channels: An existing client and a select few in my network through LinkedIn. The response was terrific and I got work immediately.
The process of producing these videos remains detail oriented, fussy and time consuming if you want to deliver a pro-quality production. However, the results that these videos create are material. If you don’t believe me, then watch this unscripted video from one of my clients at SaveMeFromForeclosure.com.

It is a pleasure creating videos for web businesses when you can create the kind of value that far exceeds the cost of your services. There’s simply no way I could ever have learned how to create value for other companies without Dave’s course.
…and that’s the main thing about Web Video University and Club WVU. It’s hands down the single best course I’ve ever taken online.
Make no mistake – I have invested a TON of personal time and a significant amount money getting myself, my computer, my software, my hardware and my skills up to the point where I could now earn a good living making web videos for companies if that’s what I wanted to do full time.
I have learned so much from Dave not just about the technical aspects of how to make videos such as:
- Lighting
- Sizing (aspect)
- Resolution
- Encoding
- File Formats
- Rendering Quality
- Pre-play images
- Sound/ Music
- Players
- Hosting
- BitRate
…and so on.
And let me be the first to say that these things alone have been worth the price of his full course many times over. However… and this is a big however – Dave has taught me so much more about making money in the internet through Club WVU, which I think priceless.
Club WVU is Dave’s answer to “everything else” in web video from marketing, to one off’s to a good forum. He’s clearly made it his personal mission to make it ground zero for everything and anything to do with making videos and making money from videos online.
And I think it rocks.
Through Club WVU and Dave’s incredible level of personal support via email, I have learned what many so-called “guru’s” would charge you tens of thousands of dollars for.
The other points I want to make about you learning how to produce and deliver video in ways that other people want to pay for, are these: Video has very high perceived value to the consumer – and it doesn’t really matter what the subject matter is.
…and it could be anything? What do you know? What could you teach me? I’ve never met anyone who didn’t have some skill, some ability that couldn’t be applied to this business model. Everyone has something to add…something to share.
DO NOT discount your own abilities. You HAVE something of value that other people want to know about. There are six billion people in this world who probably want to know. Dave Kaminski’s Club WVU is an ideal vehicle for delivering and monetizing your passion and knowledge – which is the right way to make money isn’t it?…the FUN way to make money!
The downside to this path, if you choose to take it is that the learning curve is likely to be quite steep – it’s gonna take you up to six months or more to get your head around all this stuff. At least it did for me. I’m primarily a sales guy and technology isn’t my strong suit – although I can say that I’m getting better.
You also need to manage your time – since getting into this realm I’ve become a work-aholic and an insomniac to the behest of my beloved wife.
Be forewarned – you may too.
And with Dave’s help and incredible support – you will get good at this stuff too. He’s factual, to the point and usually quite quick with his responses if you need help.
I have helped existing clients with web video, made them (and myself added income), met some incredible people and developed cutting edge – in demand skills with web video university.
Clearly I’m an advocate of Dave’s course. I found it by accident on the web last year a few weeks after he’d launched the initial version and gambled that it would be good. It was great.
I’m not related to Dave, I’ve never met him personally and don’t care if I ever do. I am an arms-length customer…just a regular guy who bought his course and really liked it.
However, I’m a big fan of his work and his business – it’s helped me and my clients tremendously – and because I believe in full disclosure – Yes, I’m also an affiliate of Dave’s – so if you click on any of the links in this article and wind up becoming a customer of Web Video University – I will get a commission and you too will also develop some lucrative and powerful skills in new media…a scenario both of us will benefit from.
If you have ** ANY ** questions about Web Video University or Club WVU – please do not hesitate to contact me – I will be pleased to help you however I can.
