Late last summer my neighbor and I took a road trip to bring The Beast home from Spokane, WA. It was one of the best road trips I can remember in a long time. The weather was awesome. We made the trip there and back in one day. Found the car on ebay and maximized the widest spread between the US and Canadian dollar in the last 50 years. The weather was perfect. Sadly there was a forest fire about 50 miles north west of Davenport. However, the smoke in the air from the fire filtered out the setting sun and created a purplish quality to the light that could otherwise only be recreated with a lens filter or a little Photoshop in post production. It was really beautiful. I loved the trip and am looking forward to doing it again.
