Promote Your Blog with Video at Blog Gears
Blog Gears just launched a site that I think is going to help bloggers (and others) promote themselves with something that I have been talking about for a while - video. Blog Gears allows you to upload a video up to 90 seconds in length and target it to a specific audience who then vote on you and your video.
While it’s really just another video sharing site with a new spin, it DOES re-validate the power of video but also gives people a chance to meet who is behind the blog itself.
The problem with Blog Gears is that is misses the point that most successful bloggers are going to have their own video on their own sites.
Therefore, I think that it’s a good incremental exposure tool, but I don’t see it taking off big time. The owner(s) would be wise to hook themselves up with TubeMogul to help get further exposure for Blog Gears and their users.
TubeMogul remains the best option for viral video in my option, at this time. And it’s free. I wrote a post about it here.
